How to Give
The United Way and the agencies it supports can use your help, whether it's a gift of money, a gift of materials, or a gift of time. In fact, we welcome all gifts that can help us help others.
Put Your Money To Work Where You Want it to Work...
When you fill out a United Way pledge card, you can tell us where you want your money to go. We forward designations directly to the agency you pick as long as that agency is a not-for-profit agency. We give you the freedom and security of knowing that your money went where you wanted it to go.
If you don't specify a particular agency, your money goes into an unallocated fund that will create community impact. It helps those individuals and families with the greatest need.
Remember... Your gift to the United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley stays LOCALLY. We help your family, friends and neighbors in the community where you live and work.
Your Gifts of Materials and Supplies Help, Too...
Regardless of whether you want to donate something that's been gently used or you want to buy something specific for a favorite agency - your in-kind gift is just as valuable and meets just as much of a need as a monetary donation.

Your Gifts of Skills, Abilities, and Time Are Precious...
So you prefer to make donations in terms of what you can do to help others? That's wonderful. We have a place for you. Many of our agencies need volunteers to help with anything from office work to actual physical labor. Or perhaps you have skills in writing, in design, in working with others -- whatever your skills and abilities, we certainly appreciate your time.
