The fourth annual Men Cook event featured 25 local amateur cooks who brought their best dish to the field of competition and hundreds of guests. For the first time ever, one team was made up of two students, Parkersburg South High School seniors Dalton Fullerton and Louden Haga. The dishes in the competition included food such as hand rolled sushi, soups and desserts.
Proceeds from this annual event help to provide funding for more than 80 programs and initiatives in the region, which focus on fighting for the education, financial stability and health of every person in every corner of the Mid-Ohio Valley. With centerpieces made up of food for area food pantries, we hope to inspire others to give back to initiatives like our Hunger Solutions Initiative.
2019 winners were:
* John Stanley and Brandon Gress: The Star Presentation Award
* Chris Nahley and Chuck Hudson: The People’s Choice Award
* Tony Dunn: The Savory Award
* Chris Gilmer: The Sweet Category
